Somalia SME delegation attends Ipack-Ima 2022, in Milan, Italy

UNIDO ITPO Italy took part in the 2022 edition of Ipack-Ima — the fair specialized in food and non-food processing and packaging, heldfrom 3rd to 6th May in Milan, Italy — by supporting 3 business and institutional delegations from Cuba, Iraq and Somalia.

These initiatives were respectively organized in the framework of three different projects: “Capacity Building on Investment for Cuban Government”, “Investment Promotion for Iraq — Phase II” and “Agro-technology development for economic growth in South and Central Somalia”, all funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation and implemented by UNIDO.

UNIDO ITPO Italy Investment Promotion Expert Mr. Francesco Pallocca supported a delegation composed of representatives from 5 Somali SMEs — namely Gaaloge, Al Ashraf, Moumin Group, Hiigsi Agro-company, and Ramaas. The companies — all operating in the field of fruit and agriculture production — participated in the fair with the goal to discover technologies for packaging and processing, and took part in around 100 B2B meetings thanks to the support provided by UNIDO ITPO Italy.
